Perception Pictures Logo Animation
Project Overview
Deliver compelling style frames and final logo animation for Perception Pictures that align with their latest release, featuring the enigmatic life and death of a 19th-century magician. The animation should be under 10 seconds and synced with the provided music. The style frames should be visually striking but not overly complex.
Ideation/Execution
The biggest challenge of the project was to make the animation feel cinematic and visually communicate the key themes in a simple way. To tackle this, I dove deep into researching 19th-century magicians and watched a ton of reference videos to really understand what the brief was asking for. Once I had a clear idea, I carefully chose design elements that fit the style frames and used the 2.5D technique to add depth. And, I have to admit, I stumbled upon some animation ideas and cool vintage textures while playing my favorite PS4 game. All in all, I think it came together pretty nicely!
